Mr. Singh is the Chief Executive Officer of Chewy (NYSE: CHWY), a role he has held since 2018, and serves on the company’s Board of Directors. In 2019, he led the company through its initial public offering, raising over $1 billion in the process. Mr. Singh has subsequently been named to notable lists that include the NRF Foundation’s “List of People Shaping Retail’s Future 2022,” Youngest CEOs of the Fortune 500 in 2022, “GOLD HOUSE A100 2021” honoring the most impactful Asians, Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders in culture, the 2020 “Bloomberg 50,” and Comparably’s “Best CEOs 2020.” A Fortune 500 company, Chewy has grown to reach $10 billion in 2022, tripling in size over a four-year period.
In 2022, Mr. Singh joined the Board of Directors of Booking Holdings, the world’s leading provider of online travel and related services. Prior to joining Chewy, Mr. Singh held senior leadership positions at Amazon, where from 2015 to 2017, he served as Worldwide Director of Amazon Inc.’s Consumables businesses (fresh and pantry) and, from 2013 to 2015, as General Manager for Amazon, Inc.’s North American merchant fulfillment and third-party businesses. Prior to Amazon, Inc., Mr. Singh served in senior management positions at Dell Technologies Inc. He has more than 20 years of global leadership experience that spans e-commerce, technology, retail and logistics.
He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from Punjab Technical University and a Master’s in engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where, in 2019, he was inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Alumni for outstanding achievement. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
